Prizes

There is £4,000 prize money available in total.

For each of the 9 categories, there will be £500 vouchers from PC World, Currys, Dixons or The Link for the winning schools and £25 tokens from W.H. Smiths for the winning individuals or teams.

Primary School Prizes

The three £500 prizes will be awarded for three age categories:

  1. Years 2 - 3
  2. Years 4 - 5
  3. Year 6

In addition, the winning pupils or teams will receive a £25 prize.

The competition is to produce an artwork as a picture created with computer assistance, a collage, an edited digital photograph, a model or reactive model, on the theme of the beneficial role of computer in our lives (such as air traffic control, hospitals, mobile phones, toys and games).

Secondary School Prizes

There are six £500 prizes available for Secondary schools, divided into three £500 prizes for each of two competitions in these age categories

  1. Years 7 - 9
  2. Years 10 - 11
  3. Years 12 and above

In addition, the winning pupils or teams will receive a £25 prize.

For secondary schools the two competitions are:

  1. Produce a poster
  2. Produce a one minute video clip

All children should be full-time pupils at the school or college for the academic year 2006 - 2007.

The remaining prize money will be made available to pupils and students entering the 6th Form/FE Colleges competition.
